I think it is the easiest and best way to answer this question.We  know that  1 kg contains 1000 g and 1 kg is equal to 2.2 lb and 1 lb contains 454.45 g so because of this I got an answer of this question that 1 lb must be equal to .4545 kg it means little lesser than .5 kg or 500g.
