It's kind of a search engine, but much more people orientated than Ask.com. Ask is turning into a kiddie site and most of the questions are lame.
Plus it's full of cliques and mean people. Blurtit is more of an actual question and answer site as most of the questions and answers are pretty intelligent. I've looked at other sites, but Blurtit is the best one I've seen for a while.
