I'm going to remove "LOL" and "Yep" from my comments, I don't want to upset folks, so what words should I use when Blurtiter's post funny and hilarious comments that make me laugh out loud? Update, I'm sticking with LOL and YEP.  Yep

I don't see how "lol" or " yep" could offend anyone Jan :) and I wouldn't worry about the few it might , but If you must I suggest the words " platypus" and " ticket" because I love those words so very much.

Interestingly, the whole "blurter" thing was once quite elaborate. New members were designated by the system as "baby blurters", contributors with high scores were "super blurters" and so on. The site was much more complex once than it is now.

I feel  much the same, Jan. LOL always seems inadequate. It's fine to indicate appreciation or a smirk, but when I'm really laughing out loud I usually find some other way of spelling it out.

I'm a theoretical physicist, Didge, which makes me a tad less creative and /or expansive than you writer types.

I seldom use "lol", but when I do, that describes what I have just done.

As I get older and loosen up more, I occasionally find myself using capital letters instead of just lowercase when I so respond.

Never too old to become more demonstrative.

Didn't know that about you, Tom Don't we meet some interesting people on here?
I'd use LOL more often if it meant what it says ... more often. :(
