Yes. I tend to mask my sad emotions with humor.

My two cousins and younger sister and I were at my grandfather's funeral. We had been lounging around in a separate room connected to the room where the open casket was (and where the only other exit was). There, we told each other several jokes, were taking selfies of each other, and simply having a relatively good time, and being pretty loud despite what was right in front of us. Many people thought we were absolutely crazy! Thinking back about it, it must've looked very bad... ):

Mrs Didge and I saw The Minotaur at a Sydney cinema. In the final scene a naked Susan Strasberg was kneeling on a hotel bed and somehow hooked up to the hotel's electricity grid while she and the monster hurled bolts of lightning at each other.

We cracked up laughing which may have spoiled it for those patrons who were taking it seriously, but it was a funny movie moment.

I can't embed it but here's a link. Judge for yourself: Is it serious or funny?

I took my newly-acquired wife to a film club in about 1980 to watch "The Good Earth" - a classic, Oscar-winning movie.

OK it was about 50 years old at the time.

We had to leave after about 20 minutes after Sue dissolved into incontrollable laughter at the very wooden acting. She was still laughing 20 minutes later.

Sorry to all the members of Norwich Film Club.

As my Japanese friends would say, Ray, "wakare mashite". I feel your pain.

Yeah, this is one of the worst times though.

My health class was watching a movie about abusive relationships, and just when the police officer announced that the girl was dead (the guy murdered her presumably) I burst out laughing. I might have been thinking of something funny or maybe the way he said it (it was a really cheesy movie)... I have no idea. Now my health teacher thinks I'm soulless.

Hooray.
