I took a vacation to Melbourne, Australia and I was only there for a day. Don't ask why. It was a cluster*#^%.

The worst was a 7 day cruise. The majority of passengers were drunk most of the time vomiting in the halls, in the elevators on the stairs. There were seven very large families who would clean out the buffet tables. The ship's staff decided after the second day to dole out the portions to avoid waste and making others wait for the restocking. There were constant very loud arguments among the passengers for all sorts of reasons. It was more of a trial then a vacation.

The best was our honeymoon. I managed to borrow a sail boat for 30 days. We sailed around the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Haiti. Peace and quiet.

One of the best was a trip to Yellowstone with my mom, brother, and grandparents.

The worst was a road trip to Las Vegas with my in-laws.

So far ? The best is yet to come but back when I was married and had my kids, we all went and stayed a week at Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk! Had a blast on the rides and on the beach ! Been a while now.

Best: Aruba
Worst: Northern Tanzania

Both were many years ago. Tanzania is a beautiful place from an air plane but the poverty and lack of facilities is atrocious. I stayed in a pretty remote area. I was there on a business vacation. Never went back.

The BEST vacation would have to be the circumstances behind it. It was March 11th 2012, and I drove 6 hours away, by myself, in an area I have no clue where it was, (I have no sense of direction. I tell my husband I would get lost in a walk in closet! LOL!) but it was to get my husband who was being released from prison the next day. It had been 14 months since I had touched him and it was 8 months since I saw him. When he got out, we stayed the night out there and was suppose to drive home the following day. This was also my WORST vacation because he hadn't been out 24 hours before the cops pulled him over (couldn't see the paper in the window for our extension on the tags) and because his licence had expired on his birthday WHILE he was locked up.... They ticketed him and impounded our vehicle. 600 dollars plus a fine later we got it out of the tow yard and headed home.

Thank you kindly my friends. When we got home we were able to fight the fine and get it reduced from "driving with a suspended license" which was like $1,000 if I remember correctly down to "driving with an expired license" which was 300 dollars. The courts in both county's were like "wow we never seen a situation like this!" Cuz I couldn't (as his wife) renew his license on his birthday while he was locked up and because he couldn't get to the DMV to renew his license the DMV spit it out as suspended! I guess I could have been the driver but we never thought to look at his license to see if it just so happened to expire ON HIS BIRTHDAY that year! LOLOLOLOL!

Best...haven't had yet, but soon to come.

Worst.....a camping/fishing trip...something I did at least once a month spring through fall....one time, it rained (not extremely hard) every day... Not so bad when you're fishing in a boat, cos the fish bite, but when you're back at camp and tent camping, and everything is muddy, can't have a fire, just gets miserable!

Many great vacations - Italy and Machu Picchu were fantastic.  Others around the US and Canada also good.

Worst was a camping trip on the coast in Northern CA.  Involved a feces covered camp vault toilet, noisy neighbors, a bear, the flu and a banana slug oozing between toes.

Best is a tie. Either the Alaskan Cruise, or the two weeks I spent in Germany with a weekend trip to Paris.

I guess I have been lucky, because I haven't really
had a bad vacation..
