I believe you can use it free on OneDrive (Microsoft's cloud storage facility).
But there are plenty of free alternatives.
I use Libre Office which is every bit as good as Microsoft Office, and Open Office which was originally from the same source will also do the job. You might also want to think about Google Docs and Google Sheets which also have a good reputation but which I haven't personally tried.
