No, and for me.  I've got no time in my day for whining and complaining. It's just like worry, doesn't accomplish anything at all. Gives you a headache, keeps you complaining about nothing and shows a lack of gratitude.

Hi Thrice, I work on it every day, with prayer, Bible reading, giving thanks and recognizing I have everything I need and final, realizing whining and complaining will not and has not helped me 💖

In Australia we call such people "whingers". They're not well thought of and we tend to avoid them.

It is, really.

When I caught the early (6.00 am) train to work one of my neighbours started sitting next to me and complaining. I just wanted to read. After a few weeks he said, "How come you're always so cheerful this early in the morning?" And I told him, "I have one rule that I refuse to break. I never talk to whingers before 9 o'clock." Not very subtle but it worked. He never sat next to me again.

Not usually. If I do it is because i haven't had enough sleep or just am not feeling well.

If I complained about the little things..... Then the big things would kill me! You gotta learn to be joyful and let it go! ;0)

For most things irritating.  I either pooh-pooh it as a 1st world problem and thus not that serious.  Or I try to apply the hundred year rule.  Will it matter in a 100 years.

Dear Megan Goodgirl,

When I have a complaint, I just look at it and decide if I can (or want to) do anything about it...

One good friend is a Presbyterian minister, and what she always asks herself; "Is this a hill to die on?"

* * *

And if no, then I just move on.

I personally prefer the wording of this phrase: "Is THIS the hill you want to die on?"

It matches my unique temperament. I tend to bring all my weapons to any fight; and I am inclined not only to put the fire out quickly and decisively, but also to return the ground to its normal temperature and erase all evidence of the fire itself.

While such campaigns are quite personally satisfying, they frequently require more work and intensity than what might be considered reasonable to expend.

So my phrase reminds me of all that.
