What is the most annoying insect?

Flyman.

I dunno what it's called but the guy at the back would worry me if he ever looked at me with that evil expression on his face. He's certainly frightening that pretty young thing he's molesting.

I would have to say probably flies. I have not had to deal with cockroaches so I am very grateful about that and ants.... Well at least they are not "dirty" bugs. LOL!

I don't really dislike any insects, but I really hate it when fire ants get angry and it's impossible to get them off

NONE of your answers (except maybe creepy flyman) have really gotten down to the real nitty gritty yet, of insect annoyance-ment... because in my experience nothing is as awful as ... BEDBUGS.

They are all over Iowa now...epidemic proportions...and I turned out to be one of the people who reacts to them very strongly. Oh it is so awful!

They come out when you are sleeping, and they inject an anaesthetic so you cannot feel them as they suck your blood; and sometimes the landlord just ignores you...here they are feeding on someone's hand; and then on the right is me, my own knee...did not know for sure what this was, trying to convince landlord to get going and figure it out; bedbugs!

Gnats! Here in South Georgia, they flies into our eyes, nose, eyebrows, etc. They also make the most annoying sound, ringing in our ears.  Ughhhh! :(
