Can't  there be just 1 day where i can stay home and not have to go out anywhere.. 6 days a week = work (an hour bus ride there and an hour back), Sunday is the only day that i have off but in order for me to go home from my parents place.. i have to go out yet again for that hour long bus ride -_- its just difficult  and makes me wanna cry at times because it wasn't long ago that i started getting out again after 7 years of being trapped inside my bedroom with sever anxiety.. im far from use to having everything move in such a fast pace. (i wasn't even expecting to get a job this early on in recovery), and than the pressure of clothes shopping and dressing as nice as i can for work  -_-

Hey, Skunky. Sometimes when everything feels overwhelming, I will shut down. This is what helps me to focus again. I just focus on what I can do to get me through today. I don't look at the whole picture, I just do whatever I can to get through for this one day. One moment at a time, one step in front of the other. Over time, I have either gotten used to my load, or I've made adjustments to lighten it a little. You've come a long way Skunky. Give yourself props for what you can and have done.

Dear Skunky,

I will just tell you, that as I get older I seem more than ever to cherish the time I spend alone...I do enjoy going out and being with people, although     I no longer work a regular job...sporadically lots of volunteering...

But it is just so wonderful when those days do come along and I can just stay home with my books and meditation, writing, baking...I try to walk for an hour every day, too.

I will just say that I hope you can get something figured out, and soon, where you also can garner more time for your own self.

And meanwhile, yes pizza rocks!

You've come so far - don't give up now. Mapping this out logistically speaking, is there any adjustments that you can make that will have this be easier for you? Some examples would be moving so you'd be closer to your job. Could one of your parents drive you back to your apartment so you're not on the bus for an hour?

I'm here for you. Message me any time. I kept praying and talking to my friends on Blurtit and every day I would pray I could or would leave me home. I started with 30 minutes a day and worked up to 2 hours per day.

Bus ride music, prayer, talk to other passengers, read, Blurtit, phone games, sing, text folks and certainly talk to the bus drive.

Please don't give up, you're come a long way to be independent. Keep up the good progress. I'm happy for you 🐴

That sucks skunky ...I have over an hour commute to work as well and I HATE IT ! Maybe just put some headphones on during your commute and blast spice girls  and block out the world during that time :) also I suggest winning the lottery ;)

You have to realize you have options.

If you have in fact gone too far beyond your comfort zone too quickly, there is no shame in regrouping and doing some additional "healing" before you continue and that may be the most advisable course of action.

All healthy humans require time to just be---to recover and recharge our energy.  If not, we will eventually just run out of gas, period.

I assume you have some professional guidance to help you through this.  If not, that would really help.  It can be hard sometimes for us to accurately assess what the best course of action to us when we are dealing with issues like this.

Hang in there, you can get there.
