I was wondering the same thing when I read that yesterday.
The rock n roll hall of fame inductees for 2016-2017 include tupac shakur. What does rap have anything to do with rock n roll hall of fame??
As much as I don't care for rap, if you look at the Rock n Roll hall of fame and other inductees, you can see that there are other genres that aren't really rock n roll. Bob Marley was inducted in 1996. Is reggae rock?
I wouldn't have an idea! In the past few years music industry sounds so confused and mixed up. Decisions are out of sense and positions are barely on their belonging seats.
In 2014 the singer Lorde won this award: ""Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Song"" for her song called "Royals"
And i promise you her song is nothing and anything near Rock. If this is Rock i have no idea what i've been listening to all this time.
