Skunks don't scare you anymore. (unless they bite you and you get rabies or something)

I'm not gonna state the obvious but I will tell you a story.

Man goes to see the doctor and complained of his chronic flatulence. "It doesn't stink," said the patient, "but it does happen all the time. Can you help."

So the doctor gave him a prescription with instructions to come back in two weeks.

When the guy came back he was distraught. He said, "Doctor, what have you done? I'm still breaking wind just as much but now it really smells bad."

"Ah, good," quoth the doctor. "We've fixed up your sense of smell, then..."

I began losing my sense of smell around age 10.  At 63 I have zero sense of smell.  It was very helpful during my changing diapers days.  When others around me complain about some foul smell, I'm glad I can't smell.  Then again I'd love to appreciate the smell of beautiful flowers.  It's not a big deal in my life in general.

Over 70% of our sense of taste comes from our sense of smell. For me that would mean I would eat a lot less, and could stick to a diet.
