For years I sent out a mail every few days to a group of internet friends. It was usually just stuff I found funny or unusual, or (what I thought was) a different way of looking at things. I then started tagging silly stories on the end.
A blog before they were called such.....
Eventually, after a long period away from the UK, and when I was probably too busy to keep up, they petered out.
I got a mail, a little later, from someone in Oz I had never sent anything to, asking if there was any more of the story. People had been sending the story on. The closest I ever got to "going viral" :)
Someone in the 'States kept them all, and until a couple of years ago was threatening to try to get them published. I'm not really sure they were THAT good.
