I have a question about questions. And answers. When you answer a question do you prefer a comment for the questioner? Or just a "thank you"? Or don't you really care?

I'm good either way. I always enjoy talking to my friends here. We have a good time on here. But if someone has nothing to say, that's fine too.

It doesn't really matter to me. If the asker wants to comment or thank me, that's cool but if he/she doesn't, that's cool too.

I don't dare use "Yes dear". Mrs Didge has been known to get very violent if I try it.

Either way is fine with me. Sometimes I will say Thank you depending on my comments .

It never really mattered that much to me either way. A Thank you is nice but doesn't really matter.

Thanks, Rooster.

A friend gave me a URL yesterday and I tried to register on that site but membership requires confirmation. Either somebody out there doesn't like me or their admins are very slow, in spite of an email reminder from me. But I had a cruise through the site and it looks very good.

Yes, I did that also and didn't get it confirmed till about an hour ago and I'm in. I kept clicking "forgot password" till they finally confirmed. Haven't time to really study it but I like what I see.

Most questions, either works. Thought provoking questions, where I have given an answer and a reason for that answer, I will admit, I like a reply. It shows if I got the gist of the question, and that the questioner appreciated the answer.

If I ask a question I feel bad if I don't respond back cuz the person took the time to answer. When I answer a question it don't matter if there is a thank you or comment however like most out here I like the conversations it starts! 🙂

Most definitely! That is one of the reasons I like to throw out there a repeat of some of the classic ones like "What is something we don't know about you?" Or "What is a silly little useless fact you know?" Or "How did you get your username?" I am gonna throw that one out there again soon! LOL! Oh yah and I liked the answers that came from questions like "what is your favorite unusual word?" Or "what word do you like to say because it has a funny pronunciation?" Or "I am looking to expand my vocabulary. What word do you like to use a lot?"

All good questions. I'll look forward to them.

I wasn't asking any questions at all and Jaimie JT called for the regulars to start posting them. That's when I realised that answering is only part of the scene so I've asked one, sometimes two a day ever since.

I am so glad you do. I think we should all do at least one a day! NOT anonymously though! :0)

I consider anything I type on here a "gift"---in the sense that once I hit the Answer button, it no longer belongs to me.

Sometimes I will add the suggestion that "if it makes sense to you, use it, if not, don't try to figure it out, just throw it away."

(I don't always have what you want or need, but if I can, I throw something in the pile.)

Ive tried commenting with answers, and met with mixed success. Most seem uninterested in dialogue, but any reply is better than none.

I get the image that this is a small community, as I see only a few of the same characters on board.

JNicka- when we see there are 6 or 10 "thank yous" under our answers, and I do appreciate each one, it is a small number compared to say, FB, where you might get thousands, or tens of thousands. I find FB is terrible, quit it long ago, but it might be even more interesting if there were a few hundred active here instead of a couple dozen. Not a complaint, just an obervation.

Toxic- I agree with your point. Good people here, but it is a select group.

Yeah, I hope word trickles out about this site, more participants would be great. Thanks for your responses.

I like discussions, so I like the comments. However, that being said, not everything is comment-worthy. If I've helped someone out by my answer, that would be nice to know, but I'm not going to knot up my undies if I don't get one.  Heh heh - would that be similar to "tying one on?"

Getting your knickers in a knot is quite different to wearing a pullover, which is getting your knockers in a knit.

I like comments back cos I'm chatty  :) but I'm not bothered or upset by not getting one either. I always comment on answers when I ask a question same day ... But if I come back online a day or few days  later ... I read , enjoy  and thank answers ... But rarely comment. Cos I get overwhelmed by too many notifications if I've been off line for awhile  ... I'm weird that way and it's my issue :) it's fine though :p

Thanks, Jaimie. It's difficult to comment on all of them if they build up too much.

I love commenting on answers to my questions :) it's when I've been offline for a few days after I've asked a question and I have allot of notifications .... My ocd kicks in and I just want to clear notifications fast. It's weird . Plus sometimes I ask questions when I'm having a meltdown and I just wanna move on :)
