Isla ( pronounced eye la) it is a Scottish river and island. Isla Vista is also a name of a city in California.

What kind of an Ausrtralian would I be if I didn't want to be the Wizard of Oz?

I am already half-named after the place where the paternal side of my family hails from.

My family are from Devon, from the Dart valley (Dartmoor is named from the 2 River Darts that rise on it.)

In my local telephone book there are two Darts. In the Devon Telephone book, there are pages and pages of them.

We even had our own plot in the local graveyard of the village where my Great Grandfather came from.

I consider myself fortunate. If my family had come from Goole, Yorkshire, I might have been a "goolie".

I wonder if that translates...
