Have you ever tried a vegetarian diet? What did you think of it?

I've never tried it and I really don't think that I'd like it at all. I loves me my meat.

I had vegetarian meals and always enjoyed them but wouldn't want it to be a steady diet.

During the first (bicycle) Race Across America back in the 1980s one guy (forget his name) entered to prove that vegetarians had enough energy to take on such a task. He was going pretty well too, when he hit the wall. He got as far as one of the Southern states (starting from California) before wheeling into a McDonalds and stuffing himself with hamburgers.

I do this thing where I'm completely vegetarian during the spring/summer, but eat a little meat in the winter, mostly because it's harder to avoid in school lunches and I can't get all my favorite fruits.

I had a vitamin b12 deficiency, but this vitamin smoothie juice and some supplements solved that problem. I recently had a problem with calcium because I forget to drink milk or eat basically anything with a good amount of calcium.

Sometimes it's hard to keep it all balanced. I also have a B12 deficiency though not because of my diet: it's a geezer thing.

Every time i spend any time at my daughter's house.  It is OK for a while, and then i begin to dream of Whoppers with bacon and cheese.

I tried it for a while. Then, my allergy test came and I needed bigger amounts of protein. Strangely, I never actually got an allergic reaction so by now I think I should be good to try again

I don't do it for the health. I do it for the chickens that get shredded alive

Actually, usually their head gets cut off, then they die and then are prepared. I haven't heard of them being shredded alive.

Oh sorry, I confused egg production with meat production. In that case, I do it for the pigs that get their testicles ripped out

No, but a lot of my favorite foods are vegetarian, so it might not be too hard for me to try it sometime.

No, but I don't think I could do it if I wanted or needed to.  It would just be hard when there's gravy, or I don't like the only vegetarian food on the menu.

A menu could be a problem. Since I was doing the cooking I could choose the menu. We quite enjoyed it ... but we never intended it to be permanent.

We very rarely go out, but the few times we do, I've noticed that there's not much in the way of vegetarian meals.

No. I am a bit picky when it comes to veggies, and I don't think I would get enough protein if I went vegetarian.

My brother is one of those. He weighs about 85 lbs. (And if I was kidding about being an airatarian, I'm not kidding about his weight. Thinnese man I've ever known.)
