You can't live in this world without contributing to animal cruelty so you might as well not cause such an argument... Are you a TAXPAYER? an estimated 12 billion dollars a year of Taxpayer money- the US Government uses towards experiments on animals that harm, causes pain, and even death on animals. You probably shop at wallmart and target- enabling them to continue ordering from meat from suppliers.

Animal abuse shouldn't happen but sadly- it's never going to end. If you eat meat- you're an animal abuse enabler, and  If you don't eat meat- you're still an animal abuse enabler some other way.

(you probably buy your veggies from a farm or a store- the farmer had to poison and kill smaller animals to protect his crops- You putting money in his pocket to do it).

some Vegans love to point fingers at others (i see it all the time on yahoo answers) but they don't examine themselves first.

No. Humans were designed to eat meat, just like other omnivores.  I know some people become vegetarian or vegan, but I have yet to meet one that has done it successfully for more than 5 or 10 years. Most stopped for health reasons. It is hard to consistently get enough protein by plants alone. Your muscles aren't the only thing that needs protein, your brain does as well.

The other thing I have noticed about Mc Donald's is the size of their Big Macs. When I was growing up in the 80's a Big Mac was the size of a proper hamburger & I swear that they have reduced the size by a good 30-40 %.

Did you know that a Big Mac has the same calories as a full bottle of wine (520 calories).

I haven't eaten beef in about 25 years. I had a stomach thing and my doctor told me to stop eating it for awhile. No alcohol either. Or raw veggies. It was not a fun 6 months. I was fine adding everything back in except for the beef. I always felt awful the next day. So I just stopped eating it.

I stopped eating Mc Donald's about 23 years ago because of the same thing (Feeling sick in the stomach the next day). Chinese does the same to me. It really is true, You are what you eat or as Jana says "Garbage in-Garbage out".

There's a logical argument from both sides. I personally avoid eating meat or dairy because of health complications.

I think this falls to a personal ethic. If you have never bothered to watch the conditions in which animals are kept in factory farms accompanied with having kept certain animals yourself, then it is easier to stay in denial about where meat comes from.  Also, some people are raised to hunt food, or farm animals for meat, so when an animal goes off to be butchered it is part of the process.  Animals that are used for meat are not considered on the same level as us, or animals we use as pets.  It is the way in which we've been programmed to think, and the way we are kept away from the slaughtering process, and receive the carcass in pre-packed Clingfilm, by that point it doesn't look like an animal.
