Are any of your Christmas decorations still up? How about outdoor lights? Are there any that you leave up longer / all year round?

Everything's down and put away at my house, EXCEPT, those little clips that hold the outside lights up on the roof edges. They stay up all year long.

Over our front door I leave up one short string of white "iciles", thinking I'll turn them on all year round, but I never do. Not till Dec. 1.

My next door neighbor has tiny white lights wrapped around her porch railing and she has them lit all year long.

Nope, we're pretty proactive about getting them down on January 1st. But our Christmas tree stayed at the end of our driveway until just a few days ago. They took a long time in picking them up.

No, I managed to get everything taken down the first Friday of January.  I'm always a little sad to see it go.

My wife and have a small, hand made ceramic Christmas tree this year that we are going to leave up year round.

Sounds lovely. I once made some ceramic nativity figures that I usually keep on display in the diningroom, even off-season. Mary holding baby Jesus and Joseph with praying hands and eyes looking heavenwards.

its always best to leave everything up all year round, that way you don't have to put them back up again.

Okay, but it might invite burglars: I heard somewhere that not taking holiday decorations down might make burglars think you off on a long vacation.

Hi
Lanilla! I do tend to let my lights up for a little longer than anything else,
but they will definitely not hang there for the whole year! They will get
damaged and since it can get pretty cyclonic in summer, they might even get blown
away! I suggest that you remove them a week or two after Christmas!
