Being aware of my disorganized tendencies, I really ought to throw away everything I don't absolutely need or else everything will be cluttered beyond repair.
Special ones, yes. I have a very special note from a young lady who is 19 years old now. She wrote me a note when she was about 6 years old and for a graduation gift from high school, I had the note duplicated in sterling silver, wrinkles and misspelled words included.
Yes, I do. I've recently started going through some old paperwork, and found cards and notes dated back to 2001. I guess it's time to get rid of them.
Birthday and Christmas cards are kept for a little while, but get tossed within a few weeks. I do have a few special cards in my desk that I saved. .
I still have a special birthday card from my late brother that says:
"Right from the start, you were the one who kept my secrets and laughed at my jokes ... And knew the difference. I'm so glad you're my sister."
I'll never let that one go.
I used to keep some, but we had water get into our basement. The box of all my mementos got wet. All my yearbooks and saved cards were soaked and then moldy. It upset me at first, but they are just things and life goes on.
I do. I'm very sentimental.
Not really---it sometimes tends compromise my ability to stay in the present and fully enjoy what is.
I'm not big on taking lots photographs for the same reason.
Their memories. Mammaries mostly?
Hello Tiger! I do indeed keep cards that I receive during the festive season and for my birthday. I will stick them all on the side of the door of my room for about a year and since new ones will be coming in, I bin the old cards just before the expected time. I do enjoy seeing them around to be frank!
