I experienced a random act of kindness last night when someone bought my coffee at Starbucks, have you ever experienced a random act of kindness?

I have had someone at Starbucks buy me coffee a few times. I have always just bought the next person's drink.

On Valentine's day this year, I had time to kill before an appointment, so I went to lunch by myself. A gentleman walked up and gave me a rose.

This one didn't happen to me but a friend. She is a nurse and after a particularly hard day, she left work and it was cold and wet. She went through the drive thru at Panera to get a cup of her favorite soup. The gentleman in line before her bought her the soup. It was a bright spot in an otherwise crappy day.

About six months ago, I took my daughter to a fairly expensive dinner at Houston's.  When I asked for the check, the server simply said someone had already paid.  I asked who it was, but he wouldn't tell me .... I looked around, but didn't see any familiar faces or anyone looking our way.  Maybe they were moved by my special daughter.  Whatever the reason, the gesture brought tears to my eyes.  I've done such things myself over the years, but it had been a long time since I was on the other side.  :)

A couple years ago someone left a couple bags of new toys on the front porch two days before Christmas. That was the year we only had 20 dollars to spend between three kids for Christmas.

I get it and give it all the time. I  returned $ 200 to its rightful owner. Karma ( a nice guy) gave me 4 brand new truck tires. He could have sold them but I really needed some at the time.  He wouldn't take payment. I didn't know his name at the time. I paid it back to him by finding someone to fix his lawn tractor.

I came home from work this past winter and found that my driveway had been cleared of snow. A few weeks ago, a local radio station had a call from a listener who was calling from a nearby Scooters. On that particular morning, someone had started paying for the next car behind them. This went on throughout the morning with over 25 people paying it forward for the car next in line. I believe they got to over 30 people before the streak ended.
