My walk is about 1/2 mile, round trip, twice a day. Once in the morning and again after dinner. It helps both of us sleep well.
We don't walk often. Arabella has arthritis and is fear aggressive towards other dogs so walking our neighborhood can be stressful. I will take her out on trails and do between a half mile to a mile. We do play in the yard a few times a day. She loves playing fetch with a tennis ball so we toss it for her until you can tell she has had enough.
Skully can go for longer walks. Again we don't walk often because we play so much in the yard. If we walk the neighborhood, it is about a mile and a half. He has also done 2-3 mile trails. Right now he is nursing aa broken toe, so no long trails for now.
It depends on where we walk. If we go out the path and back, it's about a half mile, maybe a little more. If we walk down the driveway to the middle switchback, it's almost a mile round trip. We never walk the whole way down.
Same as Ancient Hippy, about 1/2 mile twice a day, at least for the two younger dogs. The older one only does about half that amount. (but he is blind and has a liver problem, so I have no problem with taking him only half walks)
A couple of blocks morning and evening. We have a doggie door as well, so she goes outside during the day as she pleases.
I am currently looking after my daughter's Siberian Husky.
It is currently around 85 degrees in my bit of the UK.
The dog, whilst wanting to walk, is clearly heat-distressed after a few miles.
So it would normally be around 4-5 miles. Not this week.
Advice to people who might think that huskies look cool and cuddly. They were bred to exist in temperatures generally around freezing point. Understand that before you get one.
Both my dogs are old and can't go for too long of walks, so I usually walk them up and down the street I live on. I'm not to sure exactly how far that is in mile or kilometer terms.
