As an LGBT individual, I am interested in the plight of LGBT people around the world, not just in the United States. I am probably more personally invested in that issue than I am in many others. But I closely follow many world issues, especially those relating to war and the environment, two things that have the potential to affect everyone on earth.

I am banned from the news. You guys are my only news and it's better that way. Trust me! Lol! However I am guilty of sneaking and following stories like the Ebola outbreak followed by the measles outbreak and the zika virus. Etc.

Interesting. There is much to be said for the innocence of not hearing about the sadness and miseries that pervade our world, but the news isn't the only place where causes and issues can be found. Are you an animal lover, or interested in nature or different cultures, for instance?

I like to read about all kinds of news. So I go to several sources on the Internet to keep abreast of what's happening. I also get the local newspaper as I love to read it from cover to cover. I don't get caught up in world news or any political news, mostly because I don't need to get all lathered up about something I have no control over.

Yes, agreed. I too have long sought numerous sources when following the news, there is so much bias and misinformation floating around.

For me, it's interest in issues that affect how and why people think and act as they do. The human experience, what impacts it and the processions of actions that follow. History. Realms of thought. Society.
