Science . . . Or at the very least, the basic core CURRENT Theories that are at the forefront to many of directions we are moving to in the near future.

Yes, our biological sciences have allowed us to make great strides in bio-engineering and genetic manipulation . . . I have heard that recently we are finalizing some exciting genetic alterations that will help in curing diabetes types 1 and 2.

My Advice, is listen to podcasts like Radiolab, and Ted Talks . . . Leading scientists sharing some exciting breakthroughs . . . It is not scary . . . It SHOULD be exciting.

Help stifle the push for Creationism taught in school science classes, and push for Evolution in ALL PUBLIC schools. I would add, that as part of ANY Homeschooling criteria for graduation, that Evolution is taught as well . . . All religious compounds that teach their children "Onsite" need to meet certain government educational criteria for the benefit of the children who do not know any better.

Again, I find it fascinating that we can always find a reasonable position consistent with our individual core philosophies on any topic that we discuss.

Yes, we've gained a level of rapport that sets us at mutually understood positions.

I may have phrased my comment ineffectively, my point on the Pope is that I disagree in his assessment of "not inconsistent", the rest of the comment fills out my position.

I misinterpreted your comment because I stopped after I had read "I have to take issue with the Pope that evolution is indeed inconsistent..." and did not understand what you were actually saying---which upon rereading was clear---Just not couched in the phraseology I was expecting...Ergo, "My bad."

That truth exists and is the proper object of study.

Of course, if you want to find gold, I think it's a good idea to learn all that is known currently about successful gold mining.

If you prefer finding rubies, you need to determine which geological activity produces them and where that occurs.

The problem occurs when one or the other mineral is determined to be the "truth" that is the result of the study.

No, not even close---we are so much more than light and so very different from just "light"
