There are many problems with artificial turf.........drainage, turf toe, chemical emanations from the substrate, etc. Best to do a lot of research on the net before committing to turf.
How safe is artifical grass for pets and kids? How much maintenance does it need compared to regular grass?
My personal experience with artificial grass is limited but I do know first hand the "rug burn" is the worst on artificial grass.
