I don't have any feelings towards it.
That would be a weird fetish.

The only way I eat them is if they're toasted. Most times they either go in the garbage or out for the birds.

I save them for last and my bread usually gets moldy before I finish the loaf, so they usually get tossed.  But if I actually do get that far I will eat them.

There are times I am so glad they are there! Then other times they get tossed. :0)

Well, if I lived in Alaska in the wilderness and was down to those slices; and if there were blizzard outside and I would have to hike 4 miles to the nearest store for a new loaf,  I'd have already started getting my boots on......

Cut up, tossed in olive oil, seasoning and baked, I make croutons.  Also they are great for bread crumbs.

Lightly toasted with peanut butter and a handful of blueberries, it makes for a little snack.  An open-faced toasty thing.

I come from a frugal family, I was taught not to waste food.
