I hot glue using a silicone sheet as a protective mat and I can easily peal the cooled glue right off.

I bought a 5 pack of silicone cutting sheets for the kitchen and used one when hot gluing once and discovered that the glue didn't stick. Completely accidental.

Yep. I've been using mine for a few years now, for cutting meat, dicing potatoes, etc. I love them and they clean up easily.
