National Moon day, commemorating the first walk on the moon on this day in 1969. I remember my parents waking my brothers and me up to watch. I was 7 years old and I wasn't happy about having to get up, but once I realized what I was watching, I was glad to be up. It was amazing to see the grainy video and know that it came all the way from the moon.
I feel bad that the younger generations today don't get to experience something so grand and so full of possibilities. For them the biggest advancements have to do with phones, not new "worlds". We are a minimum of 15 years away from going to Mars, and that even seems iffy.

Sure! My grandpa and I both had tears in our eyes when we watched that first step on the moon. Lollipops are great, and I'd love to visit the Liberty Bell. I can work with this day. :)
