I'm not sure who came up with it but we used to have pitty parties for the kids if they were pouting because of not getting their way. Believe it or not it always seemed to put a smile on their face.

I have no idea where it came from. I've had one pity party after I broke my arm and they told me it would never heal back. After about 20 mins of crying I picked myself up and said, if some can have useful lives with one or no arms so can I with 11/2. That was 4 years ago.
Oh I was having a big ol' pitty party Friday night, Saturday, and for a few minutes this morning.... But I am BBBBAAAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKK!!!! Teeheehee! I am not gonna let it define me or rule me any more then I let it already!
I witness it a lot. When my friends have break-ups or someones trying to hit on them. These other people pull "pity parties" in the hopes that someone might feel sympathy for their sad stories and accept their demands.
