In order to become a sumo wrestler, you have to consume around 20,000 calories per day which is 10 times more than what an adult requires. Sumo wrestlers follow a strict diet and eat a special dish called 'Chanko Nabe' which means mixed pot. It is a high calorie stew containing chicken, fish, prawns, tofu, bean sprouts, onions, cabbage and other vegetables. Many wrestlers eat many bowls of 'Chanko Nabe' and rice in one sitting. If you want to become a sumo wrestler you have to be at least 5 feet 8 inches, should weigh more than 75 kilograms and be more than 23 years of age. Most wrestlers weigh around 150 kilograms. Yokozuna is the highest rank in sumo wrestling. The latest Yokozuna from Hawaii, Musashimaru weighs 225 kilograms.
