No, I don't think that modern living has made people of INDIA weak, unhealthy and disease prone.
If we were in that same old age then many of us would be unemployed but today more than 50% of indian population is employed.we have got better living conditions now.  We've seen a lot of advances in medicine. So, it is definite that modern living has not made the people of india weak and disease prone. Medical improvements have also taken place. The standard of living for a great majority of Indians has improved markedly as globalization continues to bring jobs into India. Also, keep in mind that because of modern technology people can remain better informed ,because of these technical improvements , today we have cure even for cancer. Isn't it good that a life can be saved because of these improvements.people say that we have become disease prone but I say that we have become disease free.so , in this remedial age we have remedy for each and everything.other nations are looking forward to INDIA today and call it a a superpower.if still many think that it's because of modern living that we are becoming so called "WEAK, UNHEALTHY AND DISEASE PRONE" then I would say that society's attitude is more at the root cause. We as a society want everything now.

Modern living has made the people of India weak, unhealthy and disease prone. Today’s life is full of stress, tension, pressures and worries. These begin right from the stage a child is admitted to school. The atmosphere of competition, hurried life, uncertainty of future prospects, doubts about success, possibilities of failure, etc, cause stress on human mind. I submit that with one’s growth these maladies also grow.

I strongly feel that what we eat and how we live are major factors for making us weak and diseases prone. Adulteration, impurities of food articles, irregularity in taking food, wrong habits and eating fly exposed foods prepared in markets really make us weak and disease prone. I strongly believe that fast life with full of air, water and sound pollution is a quick road to disease. Smoke, sound and contaminated water tend to make us catch the diseases. May I ask: Do we have enough time to go for a walk in nature to breathe in clean and fresh air? No, certainly not. The results can be seen in hospitals.

The next point is that the living style also plays havoc to our health. I disagree that we become safe from mosquitoes etc. By using coils, repellents, aerosols etc. Their ingredients are certainly poisons. Exposure to them causes dizziness, nervous disorders, skin reaction and lung disease. I should like to draw the attention that our habits to sleep inside the home with coolers or fans or ac at full blow are virtual traps to make us prone to catching diseases. We breathe in stale air and make ourselves susceptible to various diseases.

We always seek a shortcut for everything. This love of ease is itself is a symptom of our getting diseases prone. Medicines are fraught with side effects. I, therefore strongly support that our present lifestyle tend to make us easy victims to these diseases.

1. Modern living presumes clean water, good food, medicine, health care. Do we need primitive life on raw food, untreated water, no medicine to make people of India more healthy and stronger?  2. Modern living has made travel easier, communication faster, trade and commerce easier. Do we need ancient mode of travel on horseback and by boat etc to make Indians stronger and healthier?  3. Modern living has made air conditioning possible in summer. Do we need the extreme heat "loo" to kill many people as earlier to make Indians stronger and healthier (i.e., after death)?  And thus it has helped us  a helllll lot!

Adopting modern technologies does not only means playing video games, smoking ,drinking etc.why don't we just look at its good points.today r country has medicines to cure diseases like cancers ,swine flu and many other.modern living means living a life full of ease not of disease.just imagine a life without television!!!!!would it b possible for us to know what's happening in the other corner of the world.not only news other knowledge increasing channels like discovery national geographic...are not they helping us or they r making us disease prone?it's upon us which way we want to view things.whether  we see a glass half filled with water or half empty.who says us to adopt modern living to such an extent that it becomes an addiction for us. We r the only culprits if we overuse these.so its not modern living which is doing wrong but its we who r the one to be blamed.                                                                                                                                                              DHRUV KAPOOR

Modern living has really helped us a lot.now we have better lifestyles as well as better facilities and services.if it was in the olden times, we would have had to take a ship to go to america or any other foreign countries.i.e we would be living in   a ship for 1 or 2 months.but now we have airplanes and we can travel anywhere our heart desires.definitely modern living has made us healthy, strong etc.now we hav all the modern gyms and health centres.these help us to lose our paunch and stay in shape thus supplementing our health as well as our vanity.with modern medical developments, the number of diseases have decreased to a large extent and people can enjoy their life for a longer time

It is not the modern facilities and life style that degrades the quality of life .its ego and greed of the people which is not a modern phenomena that causes these bad effects
No, because modern living conditions have helped us in many ways . It helped the people to eradicate many contagious diseases like small pox etc.

Junk food
no one is compelling the people to take these .its the choice of the people

modern living has also increased the life expectancy

it  has also helped us in diagnosis of many diseases

I think yes this is true now a days is faster and easier. Now a days when a person wants to become thin he can become thin in just 1 month because of gym fitness centers and all. But in earlier times when a person wants to become thine he has to do starvation dieting going for a morning walk so modern living is the best.

But but but every thing in excess is a loose for a person.

Modern living have made people disease prone as well as it also have increased the life expectancy.
Today most of the people  follow unhealthy habits.modern people are very busy and they don't have time to relax their mind and body.secondly, people use more fried food and as a result gets cholestrol and other diseases.another major threat to health is the pollution.all three combined decreases our life span.at the same time technology have improved.most of the diseases can be cured.but it also have side effects.so its better to keep our environment healthy to make us healthy.always remember, "prevention is better than curing".

No. Modern living means adopting the western culture like drinking , smoking , etc. Our society is moving in such a fast pace that we have forgotten to look at the big picture..!! What I mean is we are not bothered about the negative impact of the lifestyle which we lead, we need to live for tomorrow.. Not today !!! What are we working for if we cannot provide our families a better healthy future ?? Ask a few q's before you do something : Is this safe for the environment ??? Is this safe for my family ?? Is there a safer way to do this ??? All these q's can be answered by referring a book or two ..!! Yes, this will take time.. But are'nt you n your family worth it ???  I see it the same way like we sit in the house and play video games and eat junk food where we can go out side and enjoy the fresh breeze and the natural feeling outside...!! In the same way .. We can keep the windows open for fresh breeze to come in instead of the a/c being on !!! This is killing not only us but the earth !! I strongly think that the way we eat and live are the causes for us being disease prone ! I would like to ask to a q : Do we all have enough time to go for a walk and enjoy the fresh breeze outside ??? No , certainly not . This is mainly because of the tecn'l which has made the people very busy , so busy that they work overnight also like they work in a bpo or a call center..!! The living style also plays a havoc to our health !! Thus the modern life style is making us very prone to all these diseases but with well equipped awareness we can avoid all these diseases and illness .
