A regular hexagon is one such shape.

One can imagine a regular hexagon with the points "filed off". That is, a polygon with more sides than a hexagon, but which has pairs of parallel sides. You could just as easily make such a figure from a rectangle by lopping off opposite corners in parallel fashion. Similarly, you could create parallel sides by taking bites out of a triangle.
