The chemical formulas for nitric acid and strontium hydroxide are HNO3 and Sr(OH)2 respectively. Nitric acid and strontium hydroxide reacts with each other to form strontium nitrate and water. The balanced equation for the reaction is;

2HNO3 + Sr(OH)2 ------ > Sr(NO3)2 + 2H2O

The chemical formula for strontium nitrate is Sr(NO3)2. One mole of Sr(NO3)2 and two moles of H2O are formed as a reaction of one mole of Sr(OH)2 and two moles of HNO3.
