The main thing you need is a some kind of cover (protective cover or carrying case). The Kindle is a sensitive bit of electronics and you do not want it to get banged up or the screen to get damaged. A cover will set you back another $30-$49 if bought direct from Amazon, on top of the Kindle RRP of $359 (Kindle 2) or $489 (Kindle DX). Still, $30 is peanuts on top of the initial purchase price, and it's well worth paying a little extra to protect an expensive gadget. Image Source: flickr.com.You can get snazzier and potentially more expensive covers for your Kindle, sometimes marketed as Kindle jackets. These range from basic versions in a large range of colors, usually costing about $30, to executive versions complete  read more...

The micro-blogging site Twitter has seen enormous expansion in the public and social media arena over the last 12 months. While there is an underlying group of people who still ‘just don’t get it’ many people now see it as essential to their business in the current economic climate. But how did they grow their follower base – how did Aston Kutcher get 1 million followers? Do you want to know the REAL secret of getting followers? Well if you do, keep reading…While the social media bible reads ''content is king'' I disagree, it's ideas that drive twitter. Ideas shared between like minded people who want to share these with new people with similar interests.Start typing about things that interest you, not what you think people will want to see. Ah, seeking the holy grail, are you?Okay, this is time for all you namby pamby vegetarians to clear off. (I was a veggie myself for 16 years, so I can say that). Having sold out to the carnivore pleasures, I can perfectly understand why someone asked.Source: Flickr.com.It helps if you live in New York City. Seven guys there have made a new website, Burgerrankings.com, which reviews the quality of burger joints and their offerings all over the city. Of course, if you read their rankings, even the seven guys don't totally agree which restaurant offers the very best, but between them they give a pretty good idea of where you're going to find quality. They even make repeat visits to the same restaurants, to make sure that quality is consistent over time. Should you wish to join the ranks of  read more...

It's not an exact science finding a good (good for you, that is) mortgage. Your best bet is to adopt a multi-pronged approach. Ask 2-3 mortgage brokers what they can do for you. Also use the many online websites to search for different types of buy to let (BTL) mortgage deals. It may be worthwhile to personally visit local branches of banks and building societies that you trust to provide a good service, just to see what deals they may be able to offer that are not listed in the usual Best Buy tables because they are not specifically labeled as BTL mortgages. Most of all, read up on every aspect of buy to let. Even if you have been a landlord for a while there are always new ideas of how to do it better. Keep in mind that mortgage brokers are in business, too: They should work just  read more...

The current global economic crisis is by far the most serious since the 1929 Stock Market Crash, which started the infamous Great Depression of the early 1930s. The countries most affected by the current crisis are those that are the most industrialized and westernized, including the United States, the United Kingdom, all continental European countries to differing degrees and parts of Asia. The three main causes behind the economic crisis include the collapse of the housing market, a very dramatic drop in stock market values and the bankruptcy or merger of some of the largest companies and financial institutions in the world. All of these are interrelated factors and when combined, they wiped out trillions of dollars worth of wealth worldwide, caused millions of job losses in the United States  read more...
