It depends on if you are planning to publish the book. If you are then you will need to credit the original author of the recipe, same as if it was a collection of short stories. If the book is for personal use than you won't need to credit the authors. If you have mason jars, you need to heat them up, sterilize them and the lids in water, quickly add the salsa, wipe the rims of the jars if you get salsa on them and cap them.
