I Love To Run And Do Fairly Often But I Often Get Pains Along My Shin And Bumps Along The Shin Bone As Well. Is This Serious Or Simply Normal For An Avid Runner?

Any form of excercise hurts when you do it for the first time but like you have said, you are an avid runner. In that case, you might need special trainers that are specifically for running. Your shoes might be causing you all the pain as they might not be fit for running. If that doesn't help, you should take it slow and get it checked first. I was just explaining this to another person, could be due to poor circulation, chair too high, not enough movement during the day, crossing of ones legs is a really bad culprit.  Try moving around a few times a day, if sitting a lot, either get a lower chair or a foot stool as the back of the thighs, when chair is too high will cut off circulation.  A low dose coated aspririn taken ...more
