Hey, yeah i have that too at speeds (about 90-100km/h) and when slowing down. It usually means you should get a wheel alignment. But they're pretty cheap - only about $50 at the most. Its pretty dangerous cause it makes you more likely to lose control of the car (especially in wet weather) so i should get my car done too. ...more

Probably not, unless your MoT tester is a fully-trained Saab mechanic. It all depends on where the excessive play in the steering occurs. Thankfully, having to replace the entire steering rack is a relatively rare occurrence. If the steering wheel shaking occurs at a specific speed, it would almost always be a tire or tire/wheel problem. If the shaking occurs at all speeds, I would suspect ball joints, since it is a Ford. Because it is common with those particular vehicles. ...more

If you had an aftermarket remote starter or remote locks etc. installed.; even if the dealer has someone install it its still aftermarket and they re-wire darn near everythig. If you have a remote starter installed have it put back together the way the factory intended and you will be amazed. Other than that a faulty fuel pump will do the same thing. Good luck. ...more

Unless you are a professional mechanic, do not try this yourself. I would not trust a complete steering column from a wreck, since the airbag would be tampered with on removal/installation. Plus you are looking at about 2000 bucks. I would try different steering configurations for your arms to see if you can alleviate pain. ...more

You have to check the power steering oil because it was doing the same on my car and when ever i checked the oil from outside the bottle it seems full but after taking it to main dealer i come to know that the oil was nearly finished. So please check the oil and it'll help you. ...more
