Yes it is. A baby is supposed to be a precious gift even if you don't want to have the baby, give it up for adoption. Don't kill the poor thing.

I am totally for abortion (not what you are saying)! Let me get one thing strait, it is NOT murder to get an abortion. A fetus is the exact same thing as a PARASITE not a living being. If it were not for the mother providing nutrients for the fetus, it would not be able to finish developing. Removing something that is not alive is not murder! If you were to take it out of the womb then it would not live and it would not start living. And if you get upset and say that it is preventing a person from living, then you should be upset with yourself by not having children with every other living person because you aren't letting those possible children live. If a person wants to have an abortion it is their own right. A person's right should not be determined by anyone else!

Parasitism is a type of symbiotic relationship between organisms of different species in which one, the parasite, benefits from a prolonged, close association with the other, the host, which is HARMED. That is the definition of a parasite. Do you consider yourself one of these,as you were once a baby. I think you should look up what rights actually are. Seems everyday we are granted rights and others are take away.Visit the Bill of Rights for actual rights here in the US. IF you really believe killing something that's not alive is ok then try touching and cooking an eagle's egg. Let me know how that works out for you.Your rights will be fully enacted at that point. HBO has just introduced a series called "In Treatment".  As with much of popular media, it introduces scenarios representative of real life. In a scene of a married couple contemplating the huge question of abortion, there is an interesting exchange:  She says, it's my pregnancy and I need to have this decision.  He says: it's our pregnancy.  She says:  really?  Is it your hemorrhoids too?  Is it your 50lbs of weight, is it your heartbeat, your soul, your postartum hormones also? DO you deliver a new life? Is your body supporting this?  Will you eperience the onslaught of post partum estrogen and hormones that alter who you know you are?  Do you know what that is to experience?  Do you bear the pregnancy fpr the term? Will you deliver the baby? Will you have the episiotomy or the anesthetics or bear the physical pain or repercussion?  Will you nurse the baby?  Do you feel the connection or not to something within you?  You stand outside of me and this potential life.  That is your role , like it or not.  Will yu decide my role also? What connection do you have once you have had sex with me?  You watch.  But I experience it.  Longer than 9 months, I hold this life, and long after you are gone from me and this child, I will hold the place for her/him.

Truth:  no man carries a child.  Has a preganancy.  Knows the experience.  Can make the decision.

For all of those who say that a parasite has to harm its host, YOU ARE WRONG! The official definition of a parasite is: "any organism that is located in or on another organism and draws its nourishment therefrom" (notice how it does not say that a parasite has to be harmful or lethal). For those people who have certain questions that they thinks prove that abortion is murder they too are wrong. First of all a fetus can't die during an abortion because it isn't alive. There are numerous reasons why it gets nourished and grows, but to best explain this think about those people who had a developing siamese twin. In the cases where the other twin doesn't completely develop, it still grows and develops but it isn't alive. A fetus becomes a living being after it takes its "breath of life" outside of the womb. Let me ask you this you are saying that a baby doesn't suddenly become alive at all, but then you say that it suddenly becomes alive during conception. Something is wrong with your thought there.

I am a christian and i believe that the moment you are pregnant,no matter how many weeks it's been there,its already a human being and why kill an innocent baby for your own mistake? Before going to bed with a man or boy didn't you think of the consequences? Why don't you just wait for the baby to be born and give it up for adoption instead of murdering it? I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT ABORTION IS MURDER AND IT SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN

Number one abortion is not something that most women take lightly. Each and every story is different. It is not like a woman thinks,' oh, boy I get to go have an abortion, I just cannot wait.' You should not judge or assume it is some walk in the park. In each state the "cut off" point is different. Where do you live? Because (in the USA) most states it is 12 weeks not 20. Also, if the baby can live outside of the womb an abortion will not take place. Where are you getting your statistics? I would have to say you are misinformed. I don't know what kind of place you have been looking at but the fetus is sent to a lab not a garbage can! Are you wanting to take and raise each child to keep it from being aborted? Unless you are willing to be a solution then it is really non of your business what others do.

My statistics come from the national consensus printed every year in the US. Secondly, abortions are performed every day when a fetus is able to live outside the womb. There are some hospitals who will even allow a woman to birth a healthy full-term baby and then leave it to die because she doesn't want it. Thirdly, aborted fetuses are not lab experiments, and therefore, even if they do make it to a "lab", they are discarded shortly thereafter...where does the garbage go? In a dumpster. And lastly, if more people would take charge and stand up for what they believe in, there would be more of a solution to discuss. But as long as people choose to remain in the shadows, nothing will ever be accomplished. I am willing to be an advocate for women who feel that they have no choice but to kill their baby, for whatever reason, to help her to establish a good home for her child, whether it be her own or someone else's...So yes, I am willing to be a solution...does that make it my business now?

Also, did you know that in China, infanticide is perfectly legal and newborn babies are discarded as trash every day just because they are either female and the parents want a male, or the parents already have a child, and it's illegal to have more than one? Does that make it right? Don't you become sickened at the thought of seeing people walking up the street past the lifeless body of a newborn child lying naked and exposed in the open and not even changing facial expressions? Or do you also condone this act of inhumanity, as it is "convenient" to the parents?

Jawyatt: Maybe you should check out the facts for yourself instead of assuming that reports are incorrect. I do believe that you are in denial, and are therefore stuck in a world where unborn babies don't feel. No, it's not total bull...ask an abortionist what he/she does on a daily basis and you'll get the same answer. I know, as I interviewed an abortionist for a paper I did in college. He would not allow me to use his name or the name of the clinic he performed these grisly procedures at because he could've been sued and put out of business. From what I was told through his very own lips, the clinic where he works performs illegal abortions twice  per month on average. True, there are millions of unadopted children around the world, and that's sad. But that doesn't mean that we should kill the children who have the potential of being adopted, and most likely will be, as most couples want a newborn. Yes, money is an issue. I honestly don't know how the money thing works, but I do know a family who adopted two children from Guatemala and all they had to pay was the processing of paperwork, and the airfare to bring the children home. Do you really know your facts? What are your opinions based on? Apparently not facts, as you believe that abortion is a smooth painless operation that benefits all parties involved, true?

You ask what are my fact, as you sit there and assume I would be so arrogant and ignorant to say something without knowing  something about it. Let me ask you, where are your facts coming from?? (a baby is aborted at 12 weeks or less.)You know someone that adopted a child from Guatemala. Why did they not adopt from here? Are you aware that at any given moment 500,000 children are in foster care in the U.S.A. Yes, they all deserve to live. However, does it not scar them? Some falling completely through the cracks. Adoption does not happen as frequently as you would like to think. Also, news programs are full of such exaggerations. Now, back to how do I know?? You, ask assuming I do not indeed ,know what the procedure is like. That I assume it is not painless???  I know, because I have had one. Was it painless, no! was it the end of the world. No. Would I have been beaten to death and my baby by my psycho boyfriend yes!! So don't for a second sit on you pedestal and assume that I am ignorant to the facts I present.  All situations are different. All have a reason, no one wants to do it and if they do they are sick.

I am pro abortion! If people are worried about killing a chance at life then shouldn't everyone be running around collecting sperm, those little guys could just give life. You don't hear anyone complaining about wasted sperm.

WOW...these are ALL such controversial issues. I myself AM pro-choice. I mean to each his own...that being said, I feel as some others do here in that WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO JUDGE OTHERS ON WHAT THEY DO! If a couple WANTS to give it up their child for adoption, etc. Then that is THEIR CHOICE (not for us to worry about). By the same token, if they WANT to abort, that TOO is their business. Who should have the right to tell a woman what to do with her own body? I'm not saying she should use this as a form of birth control but there ARE some circumstances where she may not want a child and that's HER decision-NOT OURS. There are ALSO some cases where some women DID take precautions but because of certain medicines they were on -low and behold, she STILL BECAME PREGNANT! I don't know nowadays how many cases there are where this has happened but I HAVE heard that years ago there WERE some instances where this occured. As someone else on here has already said-"Are WE willing to care for the child she doesn't want?" It's just not our business to decide for GOD WILL JUDGE US ALL!

no one is judging you, rather trying to educate you.First of all that is your body, mind and soul you have to deal with your own self. Besides , the doctors that perform them are murders also , you are just giving him permission to kill your child. so you are both in the same boat as all the other people that committ homicides!That is not being judgemental, just factual.
