Yes, I agree. And this is one
AMERICAN that digs into their pant
pockets or opens up the purse
strings whenever there is a diaster
and our country asks for
contributions.

Yes, I do. If we claim to be a
Christian country (which some
people don't), then we should be
reaching out to those who need
help.

Yes, I do. We try to help in
Africa.

You hear it on the news following
every disaster, America contributes
over 40% of the food in the World
Food Bank. We send not only food
and money, but our own people to
help out.

 Indeed America is very charitable
although we are picky in who and
what were charitable for...
Everyone is different..

Yes, I do believe. We open up our
pocket books and hearts to many
disasters, especially abroad.
Every little bit helps and there is
so much more that can be done to
help others in need, especially
from those that have and spend to
the excess of having more than they
need on wants, not necessities.

So true, even when America is in
debt we give to other countries. (
Not saying its a bad thing).

True indeed! Every time there is a
natural disaster in
another country we are
there to help. Myanmar is
the most recent example.
We tried to help but they wouldn't
let us. But we still
insisted. America is
incredibly benevolent. We
help all those in need!

I think Americans give more than
anyother country. We have more and
I think the epople here are more
caring than other countries. I give
and feel good about it when I do.

America is, without doubt, the most
charitable country in the world.
When disaster strikes somewhere in
the world, we are nearly always
there first with the most to help
out. Even in nations which hate
our guts, like Iran during their
earthquakes, or Myanmar with the
cyclone damage. America is the
only country with a long history of
wars in which, even when we are
attacked first, we defeat the
enemy, rebuild their country better
than it was before, then give it
all back to them. NOBODY else ever
did that.
But when America has fires raging
in it's forests, hundreds if not
thousands of homes threatened.. Who
even OFFERS to help us? Or
Hurricane Katrina? Or Mississippi
River flooding? Granted, we do not
NEED their help.. But it would be
nice if sometime it were actually
OFFERED.
America is beloved by the rest of
the world when they want our money
or blood... Then they just want us
to go away and let them divide the
spoils.

We do tend to be charitable, but
the thing is is that we tend to be
charitable when the charity was not
asked for and to others we come off
as pushy and disrespectful.
