| Cigarettes Should Be Banned All Together |

 Ban it! I do not drink or smoke and
should not have to put up with
these addicts! Alcohol should be
babnned because it is our most
abused DRUG! Between children and
drunk idiots you drive and kill
people to all the people who EXPECT
that restaurants and public places
should cater to there addiction!
The fact of the matter is that the
government has the RESPONSIBILTY to
protect public health! It is a
double standard the Marijuanna can
be banned but not alcohol. Noone
has ever died from a pot overdose!
Both are also "Gateway" drugs
sometimes leading to stronger and
more dangerous drugs! Both smoking
and alcoholism have torn countless
families apart and should therefore
be BANNED! They are not a right
they are a priveledge!

 I think that the world would be a
better and sober place if there was
no alchohole. I also think that
less families would have to greive
for their loved ones due to other
people or themselves drink driving
and crashing into other cars,
pedestrians or trees and
buildings.
I think that the world would be
an even better place without
cigerettes coz less people would
have their lives destroyed because
of a stroke or heart attack. People
can also get serious diseases
leading to that person having to
get an arm or a leg cut off.

because people who smoke have taken
away our right to breathe clean
air, and smoking is not something
that you need to live, it actually
kills you, I NEED to breathe to
live. And if other drugs are
illegal, why shouldn't cigarettes ?

should come a raise of help towards

complete ban on the sale of tobacco
products. As a responsible citizen,

 I think it is a good idea to stop
it because the people living in it
get the air polluted in the house
and in the air we breathe. Also if
animals breathe the smoked area the
animals could suffer the smell.
Plus the people that smoke will
thank the people to stop smoking
because we saved the peoples life

to Smack Fiends.

Prohibition, was to give the Mafia
enough of a financial underpinning
to ensure its permanent survival.
Can you imagine the underpinning a
national Cigarette Gang would have
if you banned cigarettes? The
differences are plain enough: There
are more people in America now than
there were in 1919, more of those
people smoke, and unlike
cigarettes, most people who drank,
if they really gave a damn about
the law which they didn't, could
put the bottle down fairly easily.
Cigarettes, OTOH, are THE hardest
addiction to break, and most
smokers can't do it.

 I believe cigarettes shouldn't be
banned because that's that wrong
way to handle this problem. We have
seen an example of this from
alcohol. What I believe is there
should be a higher sales prices/tax
on these products. A government
enforced one.....
I know we are a free country and
all but DAMN!!! These are DRUGS and
they cause harm to people who DO
NOT use them. Cigarettes by second
hand smoking and alcohol by reduced
judgment and increased aggression.
Why be a government that allows
your people to kill themselves and
others.
As for a response to those who say
"Smokers are doing it to their own
bodies so it's their choice" I say
their rights end where another
begins. Look for a place to draw
the line. Puffing your clouds of
toxic gas into the innocent
passerby lungs is not very kind.

whole new category of illegal
substances for keep the
economically productive practices

I've never been a smoker but I
don't see any reason why an adult

education, there will always be

 How can I answer both ways. If
cigarettes were labeled properly
and if the sale to minors was
treated as harshly as alcohol, and
if when kids were busted with cigs
they had to go to a treatment
center as with other controled
substances I say leave it alone.
Alcohol has been banned and it
didn't work. People will alway
just make bathtub gin, homemade
whatever. Education is the key,
that and enforcing the laws when it
comes to minors. We don't really
need more laws regulating morality.
What adults do should be there
problem. Many things cause death,
it is the end result of life. Too
much sugar, poor eating habits,
junk food, all those things also
lead to death.
