There are many Christians who are
Democrats and Independents. They
just aren't as obnoxiously vocal as
the radical and evangelical
Christians who think their ways are
the only correct ways.
A good Christian is not defined by
the way he or she votes, and an
over zealous Christian is not
necessarily a good one.

I believe so! I think that
liberalism fits more into Christian
doctrine anyway! Love thy neighbor
etc> Then again I could be wrong!

Yes, they are and can be good
Christians.

There is no political party for
Christians.

Anyone can be a christian if the
want to be so.

I agree. I know many liberal
Christians who support their faith
and the Democratic candidates.

Any one can be any religion. My
response may sound short, but it's
true!

 I agree completely with cabrunet,
just like back in the day everyone
thought he was a vengeful god now
everyone thinks he is a loving god.
They will get over politics and
race eventually.

Anyone can be a good Christian,
political party, race, creed or
color has nothing to do with
religion. It is all what you
believe in.

I should have put this in the other
column- sometimes I hit the wrong
key and cannot get it back! Now,
The Bible sets the standard by
which we should live our lives,
including our lives as America
citizens. Which would include
voting. If a candidate doesn't
measure up to the Biblical
standards then, perhaps, we should
rethink our candidate. We will
give an account for what we do on
this earth including who we have
voted for. Believe me, your
candidate won't be standing there
to defend you- either
That being said, I do think a
Christian can be a democrat, my
parents are, my grandparents were,
and I was raised democrat. I know
this sounds kind of double sided,
but I do believe this. I have been
around godly democrats all my life,
as well as godly republicans. We
need to focus on the character of
the candidate, and the issues he
stands for, not the party. There
are so many issues that concern us,
not only the abortion and gay
rights ones.

How can you believe in the Bible
and it's teachings and still
continue to vote for candidates
that promote ungodly principles?
(IE:abortion, gay marriage,
government policies that discourage
family values, etc.) God is a loving
God, but his grace towards us
should not lead to licentiousness.

I'm against it only for the reason
that most people vote based on
their morals and what they would
like to see come into law or have
changed. This said they would like
to have someone elected that
represents these ideas. Most
liberals and democrates take an
opposing view on the moral stances
the majority of christians have.
But in theory christians could be a
liberal or democrate.
