Maybe the used to, but even if they
did I don't think that they
breathed fire.

 Well, maybe flying dragons existed,
but the fire breathing part,
couldn't there be some fiction to
the story? Stories being passed
down over the years are bound to be
messed up somehow right? It's like
playing telephone, somebody always
gets the wrong message.

 Evolution is possible. Some
dinosaurs may have breathed fire
and we might not have discovered
that yet. The nature of
science.....

If they did not actually exist,
something else gave people the idea
of such dragons, since it is a
widespread notion across the world.
I am not saying they did exist -
but it is an odd thing to dream up
by so many different cultures, is
it not?

Why not? There are electric eels,
bats with radar, seahorses, etc.

 I agree. Dragons would have
existed. I mean look at all of the
different cultures that have
dragons in them around the world.
Them brewathing fire isn't that
hard to believe either.

I believe they could have existed,
but not through evolution. It would
be hard to evolve into something
that can breathe fire.

The only dragon is Satan himself,
that is one of his names he is
referred to in the Bible. And HE
DOES EXIST!

No dragons do not exist?but there
are lizards that can glide down
from the tops of trees and bugs
that can fire a chemical explosion
from their rear end.

I'd love to see your reference to
the scientists who believe
fire-breathing dinosaurs existed.
Homo Sapiens didn't exist at the
time dinosaurs did. When men
finally got to the point where they
could think and reason, there were
so many things that they didn't
understand. They had to have some
way of explaining all the things
that were happening around them.
Voila! There were gods (not the
one that people believe in today)
that were responsible for every
there. Evil spirits were the
reason for sickness and all types
of disasters that are just part of
nature. Men invented demons and
all sorts of diabolical creatures
just as they invented sorcerers and
witches. Myths and legends
thrived, and one of those recurring
myths included fire- breathing
dragons.
I have yet to hear of any
scientific evidence of dragons like
the ones in legends and fairy
tales. There is a lizard
indigenous to some Indonesian
islands that is called the Komodo
dragon. Maybe that's what the
scientists were talking about.

fire they would burn their mouths

 If there everwere fire-breathing
dragons then where are their
fossils? There is even fossil
evidence of all the dinosaurs.

There are no flying fire breathing
dragons, we would be able to see
them right? The closest thing that
I can think of to a flying fire
breathing dragon, are those leafy
dragons that blend in with sea
weed, and kelp. They look like
dragons and blend in, but that is
because the sea weed is in that
formation, and they can't fly, or
breathe fire!

They only exist in movies, comics,
books, so on! There is no living
animal, a flying fire breathing
dragon!

 No. Just a fantastic mythological
creature. There is no scientific
evidence whatsoever postulating as
such. I think it would be pretty
cool though.

I don't think anything can breathe
fire without getting burned.
Possibly a dinasaur that spit
something looking like fire.

Nah, Can't be. What is the proof
that they exist. They are just
mythical creatures told to frighten
children.
