It may exist in other countries but
I don't think it is here in the
USA.

In ways it does, just not as bad as
it use to be so it is not
considered slavery, but the workers
feel like it is!

 True, old fashioned, buying and
selling people in markets sort of
slavery still exists in one place.
The Sudan. American television
correspondents proved that fact by
travelling to Africa and buying a
pair of slaves.
Then of course there is the manner
in which women are viewed in many
Islamic countries. They are
considered merely property, pure
and simple.

Well this is a strong topic and I
would say it sure does still exist.
Some people have made it as their
life style. They like being put
under the wip. They like being
punished for breaking rules. None
the less they like having rules.
They make oaths that they are
supposed to live by at all cost. I
am not for this but other people
are. No one can tell someone how
they can live weather or not you
like it.

It's a sad fact that people are
still willing to profit from
slavery. There is a lot more
subtle forms around now days -
recently there have been cases
where one party claim to own a
person economically - this is still
slavery.

Well as slavery is more common in
other countries , its not as
common in the US
BUT there have been some cases of
people hoding slaves in there
house.
A few weeks ago on the news a
rich couple kept housekeepers -
that were treated as slaves. So its
not 100% out of the US sadly

If you watch the movie Human
Trafficking it will tell you that
the US is one of the main places
for human trafficking. I always
thought that it would be overseas
somewhere. The movie is a very good
interesting but sad story. There is
also still slavery going on other
than the sex slavery. I have read
in plenty of books that there is
people being brought over illegally
and forced into slavery with
threats. I kind of think that some
foster homes get children and use
them as a form of cheap labor
(slavery). I have seen that with my
own eyes.

 Especially in third world countries
and those that involve themselves
with human trafficking, it exists.

Slavery does not exist. No one is
getting beaten to work for nothing.

No. I do not believe that slavery
exists today. No one owns another
person or sells it. If one person
works for another, they receive a
wage and have the freedom to leave
that job at will, should they chose
to. There may be an attempt of
some to do human traffic in certain
countries, but that does not make
it legal or accepted. As for the
people who submit themselves to
such things, they have a choice not
to.

We are all human-being. We should
not be judged on where we come
from, how we live, or the income we
bring home. Slavery isn't the way
to solve anything. Things are
getting worse everyday we should
not be putting people down we
should be helping to up lift. We
gone need each other one day and
there won't be any one around to
help you so we need to find better
ways of dealing with life and not
killing others for it.
