Not all guys are like that. Most (not all) of them only do what they do to impress their friends. But when they are with you they are different

 Sounds like you've had a few too many encounters with idiots. If someone calls themselves a player, it means they have an agenda. One which involves using you. Lucky for you, you have learned that. Take that knowledge and use it to your advantage. Remember this though, only a small % of males act this way. Learn the signs and protect yourself. A real man will treat you right.

 Generally speaking, I disagree however some will hold this disposition. I do not think I am a player and 'cool' is not derivative of whom I attract but my gentle and amiable proclivity towards all.
