My philosophy on this is: Take the
cheating partner to an old wooden
barn, nail his/her winky to the
floor set the barn on fire and give
your partner a dull butter knife.
He/she will think twice next time I
assure you.

 I actually there is a law. I
believe if you are fully aware of
your condition, and you commit an
act that you know will deliberatley
give that person your condition as
well, you will go to jail, for what
though? I'm not sure. This is much
like, say, you had tuberculoesis
(spelling help, please?) and you
walked into a crowded room, and
purposely started coughing up a
storm, you'd get incarcerated.

I think that there should be sort
of punishment because that would
just be proof that they cheated but
then they would have to test
everyone before they got married to
prove that they are clean before
the marriage.

Yes because there is a law that
pass.they already have several
people doing time right now for the
same thing.

Yes, they should never have strayed
and caught something anyway.

Yes they should be punished for
breaking their vows and putting
their spouses life in danger for
their stupidity

Of course what did the spouse do to
be sentenced to a horrible and
deadly disease and to live her life
cast out of society??

Heck yes! Throw their butts in the
slammer! I have 0 tolerance for
cheating, I can only imagine
getting an STD out of it! I would
be outraged!

You know what the way i see it is
that protected or not protected
this a form of murder. I see
someone has said its not a violent
crime, hello this person who got it
is slowly but surely going to die.
Thats murder.like it or not . Yes i
agree people these days need to be
careful when it comes to having
sex,but come on aids forsure there
should be some heavy consequences.

I don't think they should be put in
jail,but if the man/woman cheats,
and giving there spouse a life
threating disese,they should be
forced to pay all the hospital
bills,and if that person dies,they
should also pay for the funeral

Wow, that seems harsh! But I think
there are laws already on the books
that make it illegal to have unsafe
sex with an unknowing partner when
you know you have HIV. Jail time
is a possibility but sense this is
not a violent crime most offenders
don't do jail time. I would hope
that marriage partners would have
full disclosure between them. If
not then this marriage is doomed
from the start.

Good question I kind of road the
fence there for a second wondering
how to answer this and what side I
would fall on. Then it came to this
" For better or for worse:" you
married him or her, you better work
some things out. Our jails would be
fuller if this was a crime.

I am against that unless the person
knows that he has HIV and gives it
to you.Because how can you prove it
was the man or if it was the woman
who picked up HIV hard to prove in
court!

You can go to jail if you KNOW you
have HIV and have sex with someone.
But if YOU know your spouse has it,
and you have Sex anyways, its YOUR
problem. But their is laws on that,
unless you or your spouse did not
know they had an STD

They should not be punished because
sometimes someone can contract an
STD like AIDS from blood
transfusion or injections therefore
the 0ther partner should accept it
and adopt positive living.It is
better to seek for treatment than
to think of punishing your partner
because it doesn't change your HIV
status.

Nope, its your choice to have sex
with them, If you ask them if they
have an STD and they lie then you
should at least be able to sue
them.
