 Actually, Obama's racial heritage
is, 50% White, 44% Arab, and 6%
African. So he could be considered
as being a White person of mixed
blood.

It is on the web just as debossman
stated he is 50% Caucasian, 44%
Arab, and 6% African. So he could
be considered Caucasian, or Arab
with mixed bloodlines. 6% African
doesn't scream African to me it
screams I have just enough African
in me to scam America. My sister
looks white: Blond hair, blue eyes,
and really fair skin, but has
African American bloodlines on her
fathers side does that make her
African American? From her pics one
would never know that she has any
African American bloodlines... She
is white in all aspects except
blood.

We are all mixed percentage wise.
The orly people that truly have a
pure blood-line are Jews and the
British Royals and other members of
the Royal lineage before they could
just marry anybody which has been
some time now. Way before any of
us. As such the only race with a
pure blood line is a pure Jewish
family. Given we in America are all
mixed we are all mongrels. So what
is the Problem with being American!
A man with a tan is a suntan man! A
man of color is an American if he
is an American! It doesn't matter
except for this fact and this fact
alone.

By Caucasian, I assume you mean
"White". In that case, Yes.
(I understand people from India are
Caucasians, but you wouldn't
necessarily call them "White".)
Regarding being "cool" or
"inferior", it may be fair to
assume that in parts of Africa,
some people may just think of Obama
as "inferior" for being ONLY half
"Black".
So it depends on where you are, and
what the natives' prejudices lie.
The inevitable trend is that all
races will be mixed eventually,
much as we mourn the loss of
discrete and pure cultures.

I think we should call him both
because he is. He is not whole
black. He is black and white

Honestly it is no skin off my teeth
what he or any other biracial
people are called. But my parents
are foster parents and in our
county, if a child has even one
itty bitty drop of black in their
blood, they are considered to be
black, not even really biracial.

 Caucasian actually means someone
from the Caucasus area which is
around part of
Russia/Turkey/Iran.
I know the word Caucasian is used
in the states to mean someone who
is white, but that is not the real
meaning of the word. Why worry
about calling Obama anything? Did
you refer to George Bush as white
or caucasian? It really shouldn't
be an issue. Whether he is African
American, Japanese American,
Chinese American, Native American,
Italian American, Hispanic
American, German American or any
other kind of American. He is an
American, and Americans have voted
him in as president. What he does
with that is much more important
than trying to decide what his
ethnic origins are, or what to
'call' him.

We could but that would take the
headlines to the same ol same ol.
It is a historic election because
does have black in him. I prefer
to just call him like I see it an
Oreo Cookie. Black in color on the
outside with white in the middle.
Funny thing is that you never see a
full blooded black person make it
all the way to the final nomination
for president. So did people
really see past his skin color or
did they just think that since he
has white and black in him he is
good enough.

If Obama is black and white, he is
MIXED.

He's not either or... The term
you're probably looking for is
biracial (which so many people
are!).
