Not fair at all... We had no right
to just trampled over them. But the
world back then isn't the same as
ours today. They were ignorant of
the fact the the natives weren't
"Indians" or "savages", They
settlers didn't know better.
Beastlust is right!!!
That was WAY back then, it's no use
dwelling on the past. It' better to
focus on the future and learn from
our mistakes. Most of us don't even
know what it felt like to be them
so we can't complain.
Besides, the native Americans
weren't the only people to have
their land taken away from them.
It's happened to most other races
at one point or another

Dammm right!! But the way I see it,
that was a long time ago and over
with. It does not give us the right
to still be prejudiced over the
past. I still hear a lot of natives
complain about the white man, hell
even some of the whites complain
about it as well. What the whites
have done to the native Indians was
also done to dang near every other
race. Every minority felt the greed
and wrath of the white man, and
they in turn were attacked as well.
I say that that is in the past,
let it be, there is no going back
and changing the wrongs done to us,
let's just change the here and now
for the better of all mankind.

At Pow Wow's they still tell the
stories of the Slaughter of Old
Men, Women, and Babies! While the
men were off hunting!
Plus THEY burned the crops and
villages! Also they cut the male
parts off the dead men to sell as
tobacco pouches sold for BIG money
in the city's!
All is documented in the book by
"something" Dee and is called "Bury
My Heart At Wounded Knee"
The White man made Hitler look like
a garden party!
If you think the only good Indian
is a dead Indian, I'M INDIAN, try
ME!

 I think you're right.It was really
unfair for the Red Indians to be
attacked by the 'white men' with
guns.The whites had an advantage
over the Red Indians and they
really hadn't stood a chance.But
now the Government is trying to
make amends by reserving seats for
these minorities.No one can change
the past,but something is being
done to let them have a brighter
future. So I'd say 'Let bygones be
bygones'

 History repeats itself. Just
because it happened a long time ago
doesn't give anyone the right to
just forget about the atrocity.
Their descendants are in a bad
economic situation because of the
past atrocities. Without us
knowing, things similar to what
happened to the native Americans
are happening to other nations on
the other side of the globe. And,
no one is saying anything. Let's
not turn a blind eye to reality.

Your right, it was wrong of
settlers to do that. They thought
that just because the Native
Americans had a different way of
doing things they were savages.

It was not fair, it was closer to
preplanned genocide! To the victor
goes the spoils, whether by foul or
fair fight is involved. If not for
that, many of us would not be here.

I agree, they were treated bad and
everything was taken from them.

They did not deserve to be called
that. I'm just glad my family had
nothing to do with it. I'm white
but my family in the 1930's
immigrated to south America
and the 20+ yrs. Ago my
mom & dad came here.

I have to disagree with your
statement, only because it sounds
as if all people from Europe that
came in the 1600's and 1700's were
evil and nasty to the Indians,
which is not true at all. People
came here for a better life and for
freedom of religion, and most
people chose not to bother the
Indians. There are a few people,
however, who decided that their
land wasn't enough and chose to
fight the Indians. Yes, this may
seem unfair to the Indians, but
this was so long ago. There is
fights with every minority today,
so I think we should forgive and
forget this one and concentrate on
what is going on now.

Of course it was fair to call them
savages. All's fair in love and
war. And some of my native Cherokee
ancestors were mean SOBs, slave
owners and the like. All men are
beasts.
