 I AGREE.
I think this debate should be like
whether meditation is helpful in
depression/tension/anxiety & in
stressed situations.
COZ Mediation is especially helpful
in depression, anxiety. Too much
anti-depressants can make your mind
even more weaker.
But still there are different areas
where medication is necessary e.g.,
in diabetic patients, in cancer
patients etc.

Absolutely, but it takes a while to
develop your meditation skills to a
level that can affect your physical
welfare. In the meantime you might
need to rely on some medications.

In some cases yes.. I decided to
post over here since I partially
agree with your statement. There
are some things that meditation can
help with. I would rather meditate
when I am stressed or feeling tired
and achy than take an
antidepressant or advil, there are
many things that people tend to use
medication for instead of simply
taking the time to fix them,
meditaion when used appropriately
can help heal your body but if you
have medications that you are
dependant on I do not recommend
meditating in lieu of taking them.
You can learn to deal with your
health issues through meditation
but that takes lot of time and
concentration and you have to wean
yourself away slowly, I believe
meditaion causes one to be more
mindful of their body and their
health with generally leads to a
higher awareness and more healthful
lifestyle. I think the next time
people pop an antidepressant,
anit-stress, or some of the meds
the prescribe for those with ADD,
even ibuprofin or tylenol they
might want to do a little light
stretching or massaging and sit and
take a few breaths and see if that
doesn't have the same effect that
taking said drugs would. It is
amazing how well your body can
manage itself given the time and
consideration it deserves. Be more
aware of your body's needs and you
will find that you need to medicate
it far less than you do.

I think meditation is good for the
mind and body to relax and it does
help but when it comes to
medication for different illnesses
meditation cant do the same thing
as medication can meditation can
not cure you medication can. Known
about it does not work not for me
anyway! Smart

No. Meditation will only help you
relax but 'll not help you get rid
of the pain.

 Don't be fooled with meditation
when you have a serious illness
that only medication can help you
with and maybe save your life.

 Depends. My father is diabetic.
Insulin has kept him alive for
years. Meditation may keep him
alive about 10 hours.
I practice meditation, and it has
it's uses... But it is not a
substitute for medications where
they are needed.
