 I'm independently minded and need
my own space just like his mother.
It took his old college chums to
notice and tell him . He's
brilliant so although I never knew
her, I'm very glad to be cast in
the same mold.

Yes, Men try to see qualities that
their mothers has. They think both
his wife and mother will be
compatible with each other if they
both have similar actions and
thoughts.

I think in a large majority of the
cases yes. Whether they had a good
or bad mother, it doesn't matter.
They just for one reason or
another, tend to look for that in
other women.

I think this is possibly true. I
do know there is some good research
which suggests that women marry men
who smell like their fathers.

While it's very possible that some
men may look for similar qualities
in a woman that their mom had ---
like being a good cook, or having a
good sense of humor --- it may be
based on any spouse, whether male
or female, that enjoyed the good
characteristics of a parent.
However, I don't think men look for
a woman "just like mom". I'm
nothing like my mother in law (and
yes, I love her dearly), and my
husband is in no way similar to my
dad.

the time, and I am glad that I am.

Sorry i disagree ,although my g/f
may have similar qualities as my
mother, find the idea rather
distasteful i couldn't sleep ,or
have sex with someone who reminded
me of my mother maybe just me but
its the way i feel !!!
