Wow. I hate smoking and my husband
is a smoker. We try to get along
with his habit and have made
changes for each other. He smokes
outside our house and if it is so
cold for him to go out he goes into
the bathroom, closes the door and
blows the smoke out the window.
In public i glare at people who
smoke around me. It makes me so mad
that people will smoke around
everyone without thought that
someone might not like it. I know,
i know, what about the smokers and
their rights? Well i feel that if
you are doing something that you
know could upset someone else
beside you, don't do it. I am
always thinking of the next person.
I don't blast my music unless i am
on the highway, i don't answer my
cell phone unless i am away from
anyone who could listen in, i don't
spit my gum out on the ground for
someone else to step in. I just
feel that if everyone was thinking
of the next person that we wouldn't
be having all these problems. If
you want to smoke in public do it
where the smoke wont waft up into
the next persons face.

In Australia, it is slowly but
surely being introduced. I'd say in
about 10yrs time, the only place a
smoker can smoke will be in their
own home. Why should everyone else
suffer for someones dirty,
unhealthy habit? And everyone
having their freedom, non smokers
shouldn't have to put up with you
mob puffing away on your death
sticks.

 My grandfather died from lung
cancer thanks to smoking... No need
to harm others with second hand
smoke.

Yeah... I really agree. Smoking is
not only bad for the person doing
it, but everyone else around them.

 Its already been introduced in
Scotland that there is no smoking
in public places and i think its
brilliant. People can still smoke
in their homes and gardens but they
don't disturb other people who try
and enjoy their day elsewhere. I
for one couldn't walk down the town
without having at least 1 coughin
fit - the air is much improved. I'm
100% behind it

Come on, why post such an obvious
debate. Look at all the "for"
agreements. It makes no sense to
smoke in a bus full of people with
lung cancer.

Yes smoking should be banned not
even on public places but also at
every place.

 Absolutely. People including kids
take the smoke as second hand...

Well I hope everyone will do this
like I do if I cannot smoke at a
restaurant I say out loud I guess
my money is no good here and I walk
out if everyone in the USA will do
this there will be a lot of places
closing and then everyone else can
blame them selves for people being
out of work but it would serve you
right for trying to control
everyone why cant there be a
smoking section and a non-smoking
section

 Big Government can't manage
anything, especially smoking on the
streets here in India. The fine is
already 200 bux for jaywalking here
in Bangalore, but that doesn't stop
it. What makes you think they can
enforce a smoking ban? Besides,
paanwallas gotta make a living too.
