I agree with you but... What if
plastic surgery becomes the cure
for some unknown disease? Plastic
surgery is sort of sick-minded in
my opinion. People should live with
what God gave them.

can't we accept that?

Its called freedom and having your
own mind. If people believe the
only way to be beautiful is plastic
surgery then let them do so. Yes in
some occasions they made not need
it but if it helps them with their
self esteem then so be it. And yes
there are times where it turns out
bad but that's a risk they are
willing to take not you.

 Well, most plastic surgery is
probably unneeded but a matter of
vanity and changing ones self over
and over is too much. Some of
these celebs like Mary Tyler Moore
and Joan Rivers have been stretched
and nipped so much they look like
they have too tight pigtails and a
perpetual grimace! If a person
has the money to spend, then who am
I to say they cannot do it although
there is better ways to spend your
money- like helping poor kids with
their health care needs! But to
spend money you do not have , is a
bad choice. Many plastic surgeries
are due to cancer or accidents and
disease are needed for the person's
health and well being, physically
and emotionally.

People should have the right to do
whatever they want to their bodies
as long as it does not interfere
with other peoples rights. Simple
as that.

I can't agree with this, as there
are too many people out there that
suffer from medical problems that
may require it to appear normal, or
feel better about themselves from a
deformity or something like that.
It might not be needed for people
with a pair of breasts that God
gave them, or for a nose that they
aren't happy with, but the medical
things I can totally agree with,
like people that have been scarred
from their ex boyfriends that have
set them on fire.

 Plastic surgery makes people happy.
It's their money. Let them do what
they please.

It's their choice, if they want to
change their appearance, let them.
I don't know why you would want to
forbid it, so many people who are
in nasty accidents have their faces
permanently scarred or burnt. If
they wanted plastic surgery would
you be ok with it? If you were in
an accident like that, would you go
for plastic surgery? I think that
plastic surgery (especially
reconstructive surgery) is a great
thing to have.
Don't get me wrong, I know that
some people have taken it wayyyyy
too far and made it look really
bad, but I am saying that if
someone wants to change what they
look like, let them, it's their
choice.

 Plastic surgery is a personal
choice if you're against it don't
do it... You can't forbid it for
others

I suppose that in this day and age
some people have carried it too
far, but for others it can be a way
to help them feel better about
themselves. Some can be happy with
new clothes or a new car, and
others need to look different.
I see no reason why it should be
illegal. Sometimes it's necessary.
It doesn't harm anyone else. It's
simply a personal choice.

No if it wasn't for plastic surgery
my mom's first husband would have
been killed after put into witness
protection. Thanks to plastic
surgery he died of old age.

No some people have plastic surgery
because they might have been in a
horrible accident so they have a
scar or burn improved and some
people have plastic surgery because
the hate something about them
selves not just because their
vain!!!!!!

In my opinion, everyone has his own
body and he must be free to do
whatever he wants with it. So, no
it shouldn't be illegal.

 If someone's appearance makes them
feel better about themselves, why
shouldn't they do this? Also there
are plenty of folks who take
advantage of plastic surgery
procedures to correct deformities
and for reconstructive purposes.
Overall, it shouldn't matter the
reason, since people should be able
to choose for themselves how to
care for themselves and what form
that takes. If they do it
excessively and choose that path
and it somehow harms them, it's
still their choice to make and
should remain so.
