What I'm Trying To Say Is: Is It Better To Fight A With The Same Methods As Your Opponent Or The Opposite. This Pertains To Minor Issues Like Disagreements In School And Things Like That. For: Fire. Against: Water.

It serves us well to understand what the "law" says. At the same time, we must take accountability for THINKING-- in our choices about how we approach matters and how we behave toward each other. Just because it's legal, doesn't necessarily make it the right choice in all situations. I think as a society, we are FAR too quick to claim the law as our shield against having to make good, moral decisions, rather than take responsibility for our ability to think and act appropriately. Just my opinion.

Hi megamaster, I'm really not for it or against it. I've found in life people do or say things which are hurt-full or just plain mean, but don't fall into that line of abuse. I've been prosecuted, criticized, and still always found it better to be the bigger person and love everyone regardless.

Not always, but you need to do it sometimes, when the other person tries dominate or supress you, with his actions. You need to reciprocate

 Hey,
if I fight fire with fire then the fire 'll never end so I would rather chose to fight fire with water and at the end the water 'll win.

I've started many backfires to put out a fire but in your analogy I'll go with water.

Using water would be the logical thing. Fighting only mates it worse.Unless your using force for pretection.

I never feed the fire. I always look for another way to extinguish it. Works for me.

Water always puts the fire out and it will not return if kept wet. Fire and fire just keep on going and destroy you.

Water because water will put the fire out and solve the problem. Fighting will always turn both parties out to be on the losing end.

I believe what the bible says. Proverbs 15:1 says "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

THOMAS EDISON SAID ,"YOU CANNOT SOLVE A PROBLEM ON THE LEVEL ON WHICH IT WAS CREATED."Considering this,i can say that if you are fighting fire with fire, are simply multiplying the fire.have to raise your mentality and think more wisely if you really want to entinguish fire. And this would surely raise your respect in other's eyes

 Water, it works better.

Saying "you're right, sorry" will end up a discussion faster than a "YOU'RE WRONG!"

No, never fight fire with fire unless you're a fireman.

People who use that term are not strong willed people. It is always harder to do the right thing in a cruel world when someone hurts or takes advantage of you. But if you take a moment to look at those persons who we admire most throughout the history of the world, they have been the persons who have replaced anger with peace and diplomacy.

JFK, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Oprah, and even Ronald Regan.

Evil rooted ideas only dig you into deeper problems during life. Stay above the crowd and in the long run, you'll end up on top!
